Hong Kong Airport Entrance

Chek Lap Kok Airport

The extremely modern Chek Lap Kok Airport, voted as best airport in the world for three consecutive years, is a brilliant addition to the Hong Kong transportation network. Hong Kong is particulary strict about possible smuggling of drugs, firearms and other prohibited articles. Therefore, do not attempt to bring in any of the following items without a license or permit:

The airport is very large, but it is designed in such a way that makes it really hard for you to get lost. It is just one terminal with a easy to navigate road system. The Hong Kong International Airport is at Chek Lap Kok in Lantau Island is about 25 minutes from downtown areas in Hong Kong.

From Hong Kong International Airport, you could either take the Airport Express (fastest way), bus, subway via bus or taxi (not worth it because it is expensive and the Airport is about 20 mins drive from the city).

The terminal is the largest in the world, and is designed to process 35,000,000 passengers annually.
